In their own words – The Eighth in the East podcasts

We wanted to leave the last word about the remarkable history of the 8th USAAF, and their time in the East of England, to those who lived it.

It is, after all, their story.

And so to mark the end of our project, we’ve put together a series of podcasts using our volunteer oral history recordings and archive materials. Our aim is to share with you just what it was like to live through the time.

The full series can be listened to as short individual episodes, or as one piece that runs to around forty minutes.

This then, is the last word.
