Tales from Bygone Bedford – 5 December

Are you interested in recording memories of wartime Bedfordshire? Then why not join us for a free oral history training session at Bedford Central Library on Saturday 5th December.

Jonathan Draper of the Norfolk Sound Archive and Nick Patrick from Eighth in the East will be leading workshops which explain the importance of oral history, how to record audio interviews and how to log them for future use.

Volunteers can expect to develop many new skills during the process, including an introduction to interviewing and transcribing techniques, and gaining experience in audio recording within the exciting world of oral history.
